Lilian Kempango

Lilian is an environmental enthusiast with a keen interest in sustainable management and utilization of natural resources with consideration of the socio-economic implications and inclusion of local communities.

Her career objective is to effectively utilize her strong skills and knowledge in the environment, water, and agriculture sector where she sees the results of her efforts impacting the national, global socio-economic, and development efforts.

Lillian’s academic and professional experience has harnessed her technical capacity and expertise in Disaster risk reduction(DRR) and using Nature based solutions to harness community resilience against climate change impacts.

She is also certified in Ecosystem Restoration, Landscape Restoration Readiness and Nature-based Solutions for Climate Change in Urban Territories.

Lilian holds a master’s degree in Natural Resources Management and Development from TH Koln University of Applied Sciences-Germany, and a BSc. Agricultural Land use and Management from Makerere University-Uganda.

Lilian has worked with remarkable organizations such as GIZ Uganda, 4C services and USAID\FHI 360 Uganda. She is currently working with Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in Gabon supporting implementation of projects on sustainable forests management and Climate change.
