Dr. Charles Muweesi is a seasoned academic leader and institutional development specialist with over 20 years of experience in higher education, governance, and community development. A strong advocate for education-led climate action, he brings strategic leadership and global perspective to Treescape Planet Organization.
With a background in comparative education and institutional advancement, Dr. Muweesi serves as a Senior Lecturer and Director of Institutional Advancement at Busitema University. He has held senior roles across multiple institutions and currently serves as a Program Reviewer for the National Council for Higher Education and Chairperson of the Board of Governors for St. John’s SS Nandere. His leadership includes mobilizing and managing large-scale grants, including a Rotary Global Grant supporting climate-resilient water infrastructure.
Dr. Muweesi serves on the Treescape board because he believes education is a powerful driver of climate justice and sustainable development. His research and professional journey are deeply rooted in advancing environmental stewardship through learning institutions and youth leadership.
Beyond academia, he is passionate about mentorship, community service, and experiential learning. He is a former President of the Rotary Club of Nsangi and remains actively engaged in initiatives that uplift communities through education and sustainability.
